The Friends of Bishop Henderson School
WELCOME to The Friends of Bishop Henderson School web page
The Friends of Bishop Henderson School are a group of parents and teachers who raise funds for the school by the organisation of social and fund raising events throughout the school year.
The funds help the school provide additional facilities and resources for the children.
Recently our funds have spent on:
- Canopied areas outside classrooms.
- A donation to The Environment Club to set up the garden area outside the school office.
- Digital cameras for Reception Year classes
- Reading books
- Plus science resources, lunch box storage trolleys, wet play equipment, safety knives and much more.
In the past we have paid for playground play equipment and white boards for the classrooms.
We are also now contributing 50% of all money raised to the building fund, for repayment of the loan for the new and extended classrooms.
In order to organise and run these events we need your help. Please feel free to come to any of our meetings, which are generally held once every 2 months (e-mail us to find out the date) of our next meeting, or how about joining our yahoo group to find out what's going on friendsofbhs@yahoo.co.uk
